Who we are
MYMAiGUARD Smart Security Limited (MYMAiGUARD) provides smart security products, installation, and support, based in Suite 510, 5th Floor Edo House, Ralph Shodeinde Street, CBD - FCT, Abuja, Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. Registered in Nigeria, RC 1936136.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly when you request a quote, book a site survey, place an order, register a warranty, or contact support — typically your name, phone number, email address, property or delivery address, and the details of your enquiry. When you place an order, payment is handled by our payment provider; we do not receive or store your full card details.
We also collect limited technical and usage data (such as pages visited and device information) through analytics to improve the site.
Information from MAiGUARD and connected devices
We collect account and device identifiers, device status, app interactions and technical information to connect your devices, operate the app, keep accounts secure and improve reliability.
Depending on the features you use and permissions you grant, we may also process approximate or precise location, photos, video, audio, content you submit and measurements from connected health devices. Camera media may be stored when you use recording, event-history or cloud-storage features. Nearby Safety searches share location information with nearby-place service providers to return relevant results.
You can manage permissions in your phone settings and optional reporting through the controls available in the app. Essential device-service diagnostics may still be collected to operate and troubleshoot connected devices. Declining optional permissions may limit the features that depend on them.
We use this information to provide the services you request, protect accounts and devices, and improve the app. We do not sell personal information or use app data for advertising.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, schedule surveys and installations, process and deliver orders, provide support and warranty service, and keep you updated about your request. We may contact you by phone, WhatsApp, email, or SMS in connection with a service you asked for.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers that help us operate our website, app and connected devices, including hosting and storage, payment processing, service communications, customer support and analytics. These providers are subject to confidentiality obligations, and we share information as needed to provide these services.
Some providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we require appropriate protection for your information.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law, then remove or anonymise it.
Camera-media retention depends on the storage service used. When handling deletion requests, we explain any records retained for legal, tax, security or warranty obligations and their applicable retention period.
Children
MAiGUARD is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange deletion.
If something goes wrong
If a breach puts your personal information at risk, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
Your rights
Consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. We respond to requests as soon as we reasonably can. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data, or specific personal information while keeping your account. Use the app’s Delete Account option or contact our data-protection contact.
